October is ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) Awareness Month and the 2022 theme celebrated worldwide this year is understanding the shared experience.

The Neurodiversity in IT program, an IDEAL IT Program, is delighted to host a listening event focused on personal stories shared by several Stanford staff members. Are you curious about how to be a great ally or manager? Join our keynote speaker Scotty Logan, Solutions Architect, Enterprise Technology, as he kicks off our listening session with speakers from across campus. These colleagues will share their experiences and stories, and help us all learn more about how we can be more supportive colleagues and allies.

This event is intended to shine a light on how you can promote acceptance of our neurodivergent staff members so they can be their genuine selves and not fear judgment because of the way they think, communicate, or present in the workplace. Sometimes the best way to change people’s views about ADHD and neurodiversity is to let them know it’s not about somebody else, it’s about someone they know.

This event is sponsored by the Stanford CIO Council Neurodiversity in IT Program.
