Today Research Software Engineering Services (RSE Services), part of the Stanford Research Computing Center, is proud to announce the first Google Cloud template, with several themes, an api example, and database backends to deploy a Python Flask application to Google App Engine:

This group of templates will join a growing base of free-to-use documentation and GitHub action templates that are developed and provided by RSE Services. The goal of this work is to make it easy for Stanford researchers to quickly deploy documentation, automation, and small research apps that might take significant time to develop. RSE Services believes that the Stanford community should be empowered to create their own tools or interfaces, but not burdened to do so. The software is developed to be open source, reproducible, and using tools that are known to the Stanford community. If you have an idea or request for a template, please don't hesitate to reach out.
