Pathways to Your Best Self With Stanford WIT+

Stanford Women in Technology (WIT+) is dedicated to making a meaningful difference within the WIT+ community. As part of IDEAL IT, the Stanford WIT+ team’s mission is to advance the representation, engagement, and support of women and non-binary people in technology roles at Stanford. With our theme “finding your best self,” WIT+ has developed four Fs to help you prioritize yourself and feel ready to take the next step in your career.

Find your brand

find your brand What sets you apart? How do you want people to see you? Discovering your personal brand means identifying what makes you unique and how you want to be perceived by others. It’s about showcasing who you are and what you stand for. Whether it’s through your portfolio, resume, or online presence, finding a strong personal brand builds trust and credibility, making you a go-to expert in your field. It can lead you to exciting new career growth opportunities.

Find your voice

find your voice Are you making yourself heard? Are you expressing your true self? Finding your voice is more than just speaking up –– it’s expressing your authentic self with confidence and clarity.  It's a journey of self-discovery, where you uncover what makes you truly unique and express it confidently to the world. This will empower you to connect with others on a deeper level and stand out from the crowd.

Find your presence

find your presence How do you make your entrance, whether in person or virtually? Whether you realize it or not, your presence sends powerful but silent messages to everyone you interact with at work. Finding a strong presence can help you command attention, curiosity, and respect.

Find your purpose

find your purpose Is there a guiding star illuminating your path and decisions? Finding your purpose can help you organize your life, give you a clear direction, and motivate you, especially during challenging times. It provides a profound sense of meaning and fulfillment, guiding you toward a journey aligned with your deepest values and aspirations.

Opportunities to connect

Stanford WIT+ plans to prioritize the four Fs and provide networking, learning, and social opportunities to help you find pathways to your best self. Each event hosted by WIT+ will focus on one of the four Fs to allow you to dedicate time to your career goals. You can expect events every other month starting May.
