During this online event, Auston Davis will share his experiences and perspectives in the cybersecurity industry. Auston is the vice president (VP) and chief information security officer (CISO) at Versant Health as well as an adjunct professor at San Jose State University. Auston was also part of Stanford University IT's Computer Resource Consulting (CRC) team early in his career.
About Auston
Auston has built a distinguished reputation as a recognized cybersecurity industry expert. He is a highly sought-after industry speaker and was named in the prestigious Becker’s Review as "One of 32 CISO’s to Know in Healthcare 2018 and 2020." Most recently, he was named as a finalist for Cyber Defense Magazine’s Top Global CISO 2022.
Prior to joining Versant Health, Auston served as VP and CISO at HeartfFlow, Inc. He also led Stanford Children’s Health Information Security department, where he was brought in to lead the company through recovery from multiple publicly reported breaches and bolster the security defense posture of the organization.
Auston is a proud 23-year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves. In addition, Auston currently serves part-time as an adjunct professor of computer science at San Jose State University, where he leads a class in cryptology and computer security. He is an avid private pilot and enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family in his spare time.
