Don’t miss the second Stanford Women in Technology (Stanford WIT) meeting on October 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the MacKenzie room in the Huang building. All are welcome.

Featuring Dereca Blackmon and Ruth Marinshaw

Our keynote speaker will be Dereca Blackmon, Director of Stanford’s Diversity and First-Gen Office. Dereca is an educator, facilitator, and spiritual activist with over 25 years experience supporting communities in radical healing and strategic development. She has worked with a wide variety of corporate, government, nonprofit, and community-based groups to facilitate “uncommon conversations” on issues of race, gender, and class.

Additionally, Ruth Marinshaw, Chief Technology Officer of Stanford Research Computing and co-sponsor of Stanford WIT will be sharing her career journey. Time will be reserved for networking and community-building for attendees.
