University IT (UIT) will end support for the TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols in Stanford’s Active Directory Domain Controllers on Sept. 2, 2021. This is a critical security change that will help protect Stanford Active Directory accounts and data. We recommend IT teams ensure their systems have the latest patches or are running the latest versions. Most software vendors have released updates that support TLS 1.2.
Changes will be made to all Active Directory domains including SU, SUL, SOM, IT, and WIN. A timeline showing when the change will be rolled out to each domain is listed below.
