Beginning Feb. 2, 2022, University IT (UIT) will schedule the remaining Stanford-affiliated iOS and iPadOS devices in Workspace ONE to migrate to Jamf. Migrations will continue in weekly batches every Wednesday through early March. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing effort to make our devices more secure and easier to use.
University IT engineers have built a new “Migrate” app to make switching to Jamf as smooth as possible. When it’s a group’s turn to migrate, individuals will receive an email notification a week before and the day before the “Migrate” app is pushed out to their device.
Please refer to the following schedule for more information on when specific groups will have the “Migrate” app pushed to their device. (Schedule may be subject to change.)

Next steps
Jamf enrollment will be required for all iOS and iPadOS devices used by employees to access Stanford networks — including work email, calendar, contacts, and certain other apps. UIT is currently planning for Workspace ONE management removals, with a tentative March 22, 2022, start date.
