Multiple groups across the IT Community are a part of shaping and reinforcing the Stanford mission through technology on campus.
CIO Council
Formed in 2015, the Stanford CIO Council meets monthly and is comprised of the senior-most technical leaders from major Stanford units that manage one or more substantial IT enterprises.
Campus IT Leaders
The Campus IT Leaders (CITL) group comprises top and mid-level IT leaders across Stanford who execute their unit’s vision. They manage IT operations, teams, and projects, bridging the gap between the CIO Council, senior IT leadership, and the broader organization.
Academic Council Committee on Academic Computing and Information Systems
The Committee on Academic Computing and Information Systems (C-ACIS) shall formulate policies concerning the computing and information systems of the university to meet the academic and administrative needs of the faculty, students, and academic staff.
Research Computing Advisory Committee
The purpose of the research computing advisory committee (RCAC) is to make recommendations to the Vice Provost and Dean of Research and the Chief Information Officer on the direction of campus wide research computing activities.

The Campus IT Plan is an active and working repository of future directions and planned strategies for the Stanford IT Community.
