Session Description

Does your program use PDFs and other documents for communications? This joint session of the Office of Digital Accessibility (ODA) and Web Services will help you prepare your documents to meet accessibility requirements.

We will demonstrate how to:

  • Leverage Siteimprove to identify the documents on your website
  • Create an inventory and prioritize your documents using Web Services CARE service
  • Use a variety of remediation paths for your documents
  • Migrating Documents: Move your PDF to a webpage on your site.
  • Using Source Files: If you have the original document (e.g., Microsoft Word), you can create an accessible PDF from it.
  • Online Tool: Use the PREP platform to make existing PDFs accessible.
  • Paid Options: Explore vendor services for remediation. ODA has agreements with several document accessibility vendors, and we will discuss their pros and cons.

Join us and learn how to make your documents accessible for all audiences.
