About Intelligent Lives

Intelligent Lives is a documentary by award-winning filmmaker Dan Habib. It features three pioneering young American adults with intellectual disabilities — Micah, Naieer, and Naomi — who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce. Academy award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional story of his own son, Jesse.

The event will kick off with a keynote address by Ranga Jayaraman, director of Neurodiversity Pathways and a key partner in University IT’s Neurodiversity at Stanford pilot. Following the 70-minute documentary, there will be time for Q&A and discussion.
