Jan 12. WIT Connect: A WIT Take on Career Journeys

Join us for our winter Women in Technology Connect event featuring keynote speaker Amy Steagall. This meeting will focus on learning from our career journeys and navigating resources to help grow our careers at Stanford. We will also introduce our new WIT co-leads, learn about each other's journeys through a lightning round of “Career Karaoke” and wrap up with a guided Q&A panel.

About Amy Steagall

Amy Steagall is the senior director of Information Security Consulting at Stanford University where she leads a team of subject matter experts who protect the information assets that are important to Stanford.

Before joining the Stanford team, Amy retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of distinguished and honorable service at 11 locations worldwide. During her Air Force career, she achieved a rank held by only two percent of the service at a time when the total population of women service members was less than 19%.

Amy brings over 27 years of leadership and professional development experience. She has consistently led large organizations and teams throughout her career, culminating in her role at the Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber at National Security Agency Texas where she led over 700 soldiers, sailors, and airmen operating in complex security environments and specializing in offensive and defensive cyberspace operations.

Amy has co-chaired the Stanford Women in Technology (WIT) Education and Training Committee from 2020 to 2021 and is an active WIT member.
