Ready to set your summer goals? How about adding the IT Experiential Development Program (IT EDP) to your list?
The CIO Council-sponsored program supports learning, growth, and mobility for all Stanford staff. Whether you work in IT or are interested in working in IT, you can find an opportunity to expand your skills, knowledge, and network. IT EDP offers three different types of opportunities:
- Go and See: observe a role, team, unit, or project meeting
- Job Shadow: observe a role or job function for up to two days
- Short-Term Development Assignments: temporarily join a team or project for up to six months, dedicating up to eight hours a week
Hosts wanted! Submit opportunities now through May 31
The IT EDP project coordination team is currently seeking hosts for all three types of opportunities, especially short-term development assignments. If you’re a team lead or manager, this is a great way to leverage the skills and expertise of other members of the IT Community to meet your team’s objectives, while simultaneously creating a valuable learning opportunity for someone. It’s a win-win.
- Interested in hosting an opportunity? Complete this IT EDP Opportunity form by May 31.
- If you need help creating an opportunity or have questions, reach out to the IT EDP Project Coordination team at it-edp-program@lists.stanford.edu for assistance.
By becoming a host, you can help foster a collaborative, educational environment for employees across schools, departments, groups, and units. Without hosts, this program wouldn’t be possible.
