Amy R. Steagall Named Chief Information Security Officer
Amy R. Steagall has been selected as Stanford’s Chief Information Security Officer. Amy joined Stanford in 2020 after 25 years of distinguished service with the U.S. Air Force. She will work with university leaders to assess and manage risks and security strategies.
Upcoming Changes to Stanford’s Login Experience
A slightly modified user experience for Stanford’s web login and two-step authentication is rolling out soon — including an updated prompt for two-step authentication. However, the functionality and flow will remain much the same.
Android Enterprise Migration Starting Sept. 19
This month, University IT will email faculty and staff using Stanford-affiliated Android devices enrolled in the Android Device Administrator management to let them know they will receive a prompt to migrate their device to Android Enterprise.

Amplifying Allyship as Part of IDEAL IT
Starting this fall, IDEAL IT will pilot Allyship at Work, an educational training program developed by Lean In that empowers people to take meaningful action and build an inclusive workplace culture. The Allyship at Work program will be a series of virtual workshops and guided discussion groups.
