Please join us for the launch of the newest IDEAL IT affinity group, Stanford People of Color in Technology (POC-IT).

About POC-IT

Stanford People of Color in Technology (POC-IT) is a university-wide affinity group that advances representation, engagement, and support of people of color in technology roles at Stanford.

While primarily aimed at university, SLAC, and Stanford Medicine staff who work or have an interest in technology roles, POC-IT also welcomes faculty and students, allies, and those in non-technology roles who are interested in participating.

Event Details

There will be introductory remarks from Steve Gallagher and Rodney Carter, Stanford POC-IT Program Lead. Harry Elam, Senior Vice Provost for Education and Vice President for the Arts, and also one of the POC-IT sponsors, will provide keynote remarks on the importance of bringing your authentic self to the workplace. There will be many opportunities to interact with fellow colleagues, and engage in thinking about the direction for POC-IT.

Please contact Rodney Carter at rwcarter@stanford.edu if you are interested in volunteering for the various planning committees that will be formed, or if you have any trouble registering for the event.

If you work at SHC or SCH, please register here.
