How is open source software used at Stanford? What libraries do researchers think are important, and what libraries are we developing in house? The results are in for the first Stanford Software Survey brought to you by the Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC) and the Center for Open and REproducible Science (CORES).  If you participated in the survey, or are interested in the results, check them out at https://stanford-rc.github.io/stanford-software-survey/. If you didn't get to participate, be in the lookout for the call to action at the end of this year!

Is this kind of initiative something that you want to be a part of, or do you care about practices and community for open science? CORES was formally announced last year, and you should visit the site to join the mailing list and hear about the kick off meeting in February! With this initiative, we hope to grow community at Stanford to support open source and open science. We hope that you will join us!
