For our March Stanford WIT meeting, we are flipping the script! Because building relationships is so important to our community, we’re starting the meeting with structured networking time. The networking time will flow into an interactive discussion and workshop about mentoring and relationship-building, springboarding off the research of Stacy Blake-Beard, professor of management at Simmons College, whose work on women and mentoring has been featured in videos and tools at Stanford’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research. We will be kicking off tandem mentoring relationships during our March meeting. Don’t miss this opportunity!
While we encourage you to attend the meeting in-person — and to bring a friend! — we also know that sometimes you can’t. If you’re planning to attend by Zoom, you’ll still be able to participate in both the networking and the tandem mentoring activities in the meeting. Our goal is to use Zoom breakout rooms and chats to make your experience of the meeting is as similar as it can be to the experience of in-person attendees.
