On Tuesday, June 27th, WIT+ hosted the “WIT+ Connect: Anchor Point Film Q&A with Director Holly Tuckett.” This event featured veteran storyteller, filmmaker, cinematographer, and producer, Holly Tuckett. Throughout the Q&A, Holly shared her journey to becoming a filmmaker, the challenges she encountered while filming Anchor Point, and the inspiration behind the telling of this story.

Participants watched the film prior to participating in our facilitated Q&A with Holly. This led to an insightful conversation on the challenges many women face in male-dominated fields and how we can continue to make spaces safer for women to fight for change.

“It really is about creating a safe space for us to be vulnerable and say the things that are uncomfortable in order to learn from one another so that we can move forward and past things that are holding us back from being able to work together,” Holly said.
