The CIO Council (CIOC) provides support for the IT Community, and advances the recruitment, development, and retention of world-class IT talent in a number of ways, including by:
- Supporting and promoting university-wide convening events
- Supporting and advocating for Stanford Communities of Practice
- Supporting other campus-wide technology forums including
- Campus IT Leaders (CITL)
- Desktop Advisory Group (DAG)
- AV Strategy Team
- Sponsoring university-wide talent development programs
- Actively promoting career mobility across all of Stanford IT, including:
- Enabling transparency of career opportunities across all Stanford IT organizations
- Actively supporting movement of IT staff across organizational boundaries
- Providing programs that promote diversity and inclusion as part of IDEAL IT
