Summary
Stanford WebCamp is an event for community and by community to discuss the ins and outs of building websites and research tools. What will work for our community in 2021?
Notes

Talking points

  • Success last year with one of first virtual events
  • Diversity of topics - Accessibility, Wordpress, Drupal, UX, Content managers, other web related topic
  • Pick the week for the Camp 2021 - survey?
  • Website is ready  for submissions
  • How we invite session submission this year? What people want to see? Reach out to web leaders, web team, COPs.

Notes from session

  • Weekdays are easier for Stanford folks to attend
  • Trainings are big bonus / SUPER IMPORTANT
  • Managerial support for Webcamp on campus
  • Morning/afternoon time-slots  between 10 am and 2 pm
  • Custom websites comparing to standard platform
  • Drop-in help sessions - expert advice ?   How to add content in Drupal 8? Paragraphs or layouts?  Stanford sites layouts? Topic table - like a BoF session?  Structured Drop-in help?
  • Send out a survey to the community to gauge which topics should be covered
  • What would you like to learn - Wordpress, Drupal, AEM, custom ?
  • Virtual classroom session
  • I want to put "this" online - let's define what THIS is and what is right platform for that
